A liquor that contains ethanol and has the potential to intoxicate drinkers

WHEN WAS ALCOHOL PROHIBITED IN THE USA?
In 1920 the US made a law that prohibited the sale and import of intoxicated liquors
The illegal alcohol trade boomed and by 1933 the prohibition of alcohol was cancelled.
Some alcoholic beverages were not prohibited because they were used for medical purposes

Alcoholic beverage called sura is distilled from rice and was used between 3000 and 2000 BC
