In 1977 the Apple II was introduced as the first personal computer for home and schools. This was the start of the digital revolution.

In 1981 IBM created its own version of a home computer and created some competition in this area.

In the early 1990's there was a multimedia rise. Computers started being used for gaming and educational databases started being created.

In 1991 the World Wide Web was created.

In 1995 windows OS was released.

1998 brought us WIKI or wikipedia as a way of sharing information.

In 1999 e-learning was being embraced more and more by public schools and colleges.

Over the years there has been major advancements for technology and education. It seems ever since computers have been around the two have been growing together and forming stronger attachments along the way. I can only hope that it continues to advance.
