History of Mobile Phones

The first mobile phone was invented by Martin Cooper in 1973. The purpose of the mobile phone was to make and receive calls while away from a land line phone.

When invented, the mobile phone was used to make calls without the limitations of home phones. Today, mobile phones are used for watching videos and playing games.

The mobile phone has been greatly improved over the years. It went from making simple 30 minute calls to running apps, storing pictures and videos, and taking pictures.
