THE STORMING OF THE BASTILLE ~JULY 14, 1789

Showed that the third estate would not stop fighting for equal power for the people and themselves.

THE DECLARATION OF THE RIGHTS OF MAN~AUGUST 27, 1789

It was the first time the third estate had power, and allowed them to have a voice in their government.

The Women’s March on Versailles~ October 5, 1789

It brought the king back to Paris as a potential prisoner.

September Massacres~ September 2-6, 1792

Was the first big violent event that changed the views of many foreigners.

Execution of King Louis XVI~ January 21, 1793

This event marked that the third estate was through with the French monarchy.

Execution of Marie Antoinette~ October 16, 1793

By doing the last step necessary, the people were finally done being ruled by a monarch.

REIGN OF TERROR~ SEPTEMBER 5, 1793 - JULY 27, 1794

It showed that the third estate was a violent state if you did not follow their rules.
