  • The Rockies start in British Columbia and end in New Mexico
  • The Rockies were formed by tectonic forces and plates colliding

UNITED STATES LANDFORMS

  • Yellowstone Caldera: Located in Wyoming
  • 28 by 47 miles and was formed 640,000 years ago
  • Theres molten rock 9 miles below the earths surface
  • Recent eruption as 70,000 years ago
  • Since 2004 the ground has risen as much as 2.4 a year

CANADAs Landform

  • Innuitian Mountains: In Nunavut and Northwest Territories
  • Over 8,202 feet in height and 802 miles long
  • Due to the cold climate theres no plants or wildlife
  • The mountain has minerals such as iron, zinc, and coal
  • The mountain was formed from the North American plate moving forward.
