Setting:
Camp Green Lake,
a detention center for boys.
It is neither green nor a lake.

• Stanley, main character. Stanley was accused of stealing a pair of shoes and sent to Camp Green Lake as punishment.
• Zero, Stanley's best and only friend at camp.
• Other boys at camp, picked on Stanley.
• The warden, is the boss of camp and a very mean woman.

Conflict:
Stanley got in fights and had little water. He was being punished for a crime he didn't commit. He wanted to find a way out of Camp Green Lake.

Stanley was caught with shoes he did not steal.the shoes landed on Stanley when someone threw the shoes over the bridge.

Stanley is sent to camp.he is forced by the warden to dig a five foot hole every day.

Zero runs away and Stanley goes after him. They hide out on top of a mountain and find onions and water they return to camp to get plain food.

Resolution:
When Stanley and Zero return to camp the police and Stanley's parents were there looking for them. All of the boys at Camp Green Lake were set free because it was not what police thought it was.
