  • The main character is Stanley Yelnats or Caveman
  • at the begining of the book Stanley is a quit kid who lives at home 
  • "Stanley was not a bad kid. He was innocent of the crime
  • for which he was convicted. He'd just been in the wrong place at the wrong
  • time." This quote tells that Stanley is a kind kid

  • At the end of this book Stanley changes into a brave and outgoing kid
  • "His muscles and hands weren't the only parts of his body that toughened 
  • over the past several weeks. His heart had hardened as well."
