HOMELESSNESS IN CT

  • There are 1.7M homeless people in the U.S
  • 53% of the homeless population are teens
  • Making that approximately 34,000 in CT

HOMELESSNESS DATA

What happens to homeless teens?
*About 75% of homeless teens use drugs and alcohol to self medicate or relieve the pain and struggle they face on the streets

What can be done to help?
There are many organizations that can help what we can do to help them is fund the organization with money or necessities such as food and clothing

REASONS FOR HOMELESSNESS

  • Physical Abuse
  • Neglect
  • Sexual abuse, usually female teens
  • Problems in a home
  • Parents kick you out and don't want the kids around

There is a lot of homelessness not just in CT but all around the country we"ll never know what homelessness feels like until we go through it help the homeless, donate, or fund organizations, there are so many teens without a home they are the future....
