Giving the power of the country mainly to the citizens.
Sig-Citizens get to vote and choose a leader.
Example-The United states has a federal republic, giving citizens a voice.
Also, There are two different types of republic systems, federal and unitary.

A single ruler who has all the power from heredity.
Sig- Very few countries today have a monarchy.
Example- Saudi Arabia, England

A type of government where the ruler runs in the name of a god/gods.
Sig-Iran is the only country that has a theocracy.

A single ruler who controls a country that the people vote for.

The people get to directly vote for their nations leader.
