TRAGEDIES

  • The horses that were killed wouldn't be returned to their owners.
  • Some of the soldiers cared about them and others didn't.
  • If the horses were injured they would have to be put down.
  • They wouldn't have the appropriate veterinarian care.
  • They tested the horses with mustard gas to see how dangerous it was.

TRAGEDIES

  • They didn't give them a chance to recover
  • Most of the deaths came from the horses in the front of the line.
  • They were the first to be hit by artillery.
  • 1million horses were sent to the war and only 62,000 came back.
