HOUSE OF THE FUTURE

WHERE

• Our house will be in the suburbs of sydney
• Specifically the eastern suburbs area
• Near the coast to decrease cooling

WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE

• Our house is three stories tall
• It has an underground garage
• The middle floor will be the living room
• The bottom floor will include the kitchen and dining area
• The top floor will have the bedrooms

• The back yard will be small
• Each floor has a bathroom
• The laundry will be in the garage area
• There will be a laundry shoot on each floor
• Open plan living on the 1st and 2nd floor

WHEN

• This house is designed for 2075
• Population is expected to double
• Which means the house will have to be small.

ENERGY EFFICENCY

• Our house will have open plan living
• This decreases the amount of air conditioning
• All the north walls will be windows to save energy
• All windows will be double glazed
• There will be solar panels to help reduce energy consumption

FURNITURE

• The living room will have an entertainment centre with a tv in the centre
• There will be a pool on the roof
• Carpeting will occur in the bedrooms
• The rest of the floor will be wooden planks
• To save space the childrens rooms will be bunk beds
