How We Research

  • Identify your topic
  • Identify your buckets
  • Define your mission (which differ btwn research rounds)
  • We research in ROUNDS!! And it isn't always pretty (examples)

Research Structures

  • Different ways to organize your research at first (for ex by source vs. main point)
  • It's all integrated into your final (cohesive) product

Research is:

  • Note-taking!! (incl. sources + page #s of pieces/chunks of info)
  • Organizing your info and YOUR thoughts on the info you're collecting
  • *Critical* thinking > mindless searching/gathering
