HOW ARE STARS MADE?

Stars are made up of the two lightest elements known to humanity, helium and hydrogen.

The stars are mainly made up of gas, when the gas is drawn inwards it forms a clump that is called a protostar.

When this protostar reach a heat of 7 million kelvins the hydrogen supply will start burning. That's called a nuclear fusion.

Once the stars get older their hydrogen supply runs out and
they become supergiants.

Stars are classed differently depending on their age, the oldest kinds of stars is called red supergiants.

A stars hydrogen supply is estimated to last for around 5 billion years, a long time huh.
