Consumerism means the protection or promotion of the interests of consumers, or they want people to buy there stuff and the addiction of buying.

Consumerism harms the environment because when you buy something you throw it away or when you want to build something you build it on the animals habitat.

Facts

  • Male are 400 pounds
  • Female are 200 pounds
  • They eat roots, shoots, fruit, wild celery, tree bark and pulp
  • Female give birth to one infant after nine months
  • Baby gorillas are 4 pounds and can only cling on the mothers fur

Habitat Information

  • They live on green volcano mountains in Uganda
  • The biotic factors in the habitat are bamboo, bugs, trees, and anything a gorilla eats for it's diet
  • The abiotic factors are water, oxygen, and the weather

  • They are losing their habitat because people are moving and building stuff where they lived

The Mountain Gorillas get their own national park which is called Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Mgahinga and they have their own food and it was successful because the numbers have gone up
