PRESENTATION OUTLINE
My main project represents three main social groups
Our killer was constructed to appear calm, calculating and intelligent. The inspirations for this were both Hannibal Lecter and Dexter.
We achieved this by both having him dressed smartly in dark clothing as well as a great attention to detail when placing certain objects. An example of this is when he readjusts his knife and fork after finishing his meal.
Our protagonist was designed to be the visual antithesis of our antagonist. We wanted him to look completely different so the audience could discern which was the threat. However, he was also constructed to appear intelligent and forward thinking, which would enable him to catch the antagonist.
We achieved this by both having him dress in a white shirt to show him as the antagonists polar opposite. As well as having him make his own orange juice and reading a newspaper to connote an attention to detail and an air of intelligence to the audience.
Whilst we showed both the antagonist and protagonist in a positive way. I believe our representation of the victims is quite negative. They are wearing casual clothing and are relaxed and are not facing the camera as their pictures are being taken.
This connotes to the audience a sense of innocence or ignorance on behalf of the teenage victims, as they are seemingly unaware of the danger they are in.
