HOW ELEMENTS FORM

A STARS CORE

  • A stars core is dense and hotter than you or I
  • could imagine. So you would think there is
  • Nothing going on in there right? Wrong.
  • The truth of the matter is, life itself is made at
  • the core of a star. The next stage is a average star

ALL ELEMENTS MADE BY FUSION IN THE SUN

  • The sun has so much heat and pressure at its
  • core that hydrogen is fused into helium. This
  • is kind of like fuel for a star it's what keeps it
  • alive. But after it runs out of fuel it starts to die.
  • By die, I mean get hotter and collapse on itself

CARBON

  • This stage, in which Carbon is Made, is called a red giant.
  • When a star begins to die, there are many stages
  • it goes through, and each one makes new elements
  • In each stage. And the third stage is when Carbon is
  • formed. The next stage is a planetary nebula

CALCIUM

  • This process keeps going on, with the star getting
  • Hotter and hotter, and continues to collapse, and at
  • some point in this process, calcium along with all the
  • other natural ellements know to man, are made in this process.
  • Each stage is shorter and hotter then the last one.

IRON

  • After all that, the star enters it's final stage. In
  • this stage, the core of the star is now helium, hydrodyin,
  • Carbon, oxygen, and all of the other elements together
  • After that has fused together, the stars core is pure iron
  • Then in a few seconds, the stars life ends. This stage is a white dwarf
