EDUCATION

  • The purpose of education was to produce good citizens.
  • men - women, children, and slaves were not citizens were trained to be good soldiers.
  • They were also trained in music, art, literature, and politics.

THE ARTS

  • The ancient Greeks loved beauty, music, literature, drama, philosophy, politics and art.
  • Perfect noses and eyes spaced just right.
  • This is very different from the ancient Romans in ancient Rome, if someone had a big nose, the artist would give him a big nose in the painting or sculpture.

GEOGRAGHY

  • The Greek city states were grouped together at the southern end of a very large peninsula.
  • Smaller peninsulas stuck out from the main Greek peninsula, forming a great deal of natural coastline and many natural harbors.

THE SUN CHARIOT
I THINK THIS STORY WAS LIMITING BECAUSE IT HAD MORE RESEARCH. SOME GODS FOUND THEMSELVES INTERESTED IN THE HUMANS.

THE GIFT OF FIRE
I THINK THIS STORY WAS REVEALING.SOME GODS FOUND THEMSELVES INTERESTED IN THE HUMANS.THE CHILDREN ARQUED AMOUNG THEMSELVES, AND SOMETIMES EVEN ARQUED WITH THE GODS.FIRE WAS IMPORTANT FOR MANY THINGS LIKE HEAT AND COOKING, AND HUNDREDS OF OTHERS.

ANCIENT GREEK HERITAGE
I HINK THIS STORY WAS LIMITING.THE CULTURE OF GREECE HAS EVOLVED OVER THOUSANDS OF YEARS, BEGINNING IN MYCENAEAN GREECE, CONTINUING MOST NOTABLY INTO CLASSICAL GREECE, THROUGH THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE AND ITS SUCCESSOR THE BY ZNTINE EMPIRE.

HOW IS FOLKLORE SIMULTANEOUSLY REVEALING AND LIMITING?

THIS WAS MOSTLY LIMITING THEY HAD ALOT OF RESEARCH AND ABOUT GREEK GODS.AND ABOUT HOW SOME GODS FOUND THEMSELVES INTERESTED IN THE HUMANS. AND HOW HE NAMED HIS SON PHAETHAN, BECAUSE PHAETHAN MEANT ''BRILLIANT'' IN THE ANCIENT GREEK LANGUAGE.
