THE MINDSET NEEDED

  • You will not always be succesful
  • The more work you put in, the more rewarding it is
  • You can always take friends. It's all about fun!
  • It isn't about the killing, it's about tricking the bird to you
  • Even if you don't succeed, get back out until you are!

SCOUTING (MOST IMPORTANT)

  • Your chances of being successful where there aren't birds are near none
  • Don't be afraid to put on 500 miles to find the spot
  • Drive around the area where birds are in flight
  • Hit the backroads hard. they won't always be right near the road
  • Once you find birds, find the land owners and ask for permission!

FAVORITE SAYING

99 NO'S FOR 1 YES, WHEN GETTING LAND PERMISSION.

SHOOTING THE BIRDS

  • Don't aim at them directly or you'll miss
  • Aim where they're going, not where they've been
  • If they fall, but don't die, take a finishing shot.
  • If you only need one more for a limit, and you get two, call it in

HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS!
