HOW to make a Claymation video!

Hi my name is Ronin and it is my first year in 4-H. I am 7 years old. I am going to be telling you about how to make a claymation video.

• Did you know claymation has been around for more than 100 years
• claymation is a type of stop-motion animation
• stop-motion is done by taking pictures of a object after each movement and stringing the pictures together

More Facts

• stop-motion creates an illusion of movement when the pictures are played all together
• they don't make as many claymation movies as they used to because it costs to much and takes too much time
• Chicken Run, Wallace and Grommit, and Shaun the Sheep are examples of claymation movies

Materials

• clay
• props
• wire
• cardboard
• paint
• camera and computer-mac

Steps

• roll the clay
• get the wire
• make an armature out of wire
• sculpt around the armature
• get the cardboad and paint it
• set the camra up
• put the armature in a pusishun
• then move the armature

Steps continued

• move the armature again
• than stop filming
• upload your pictures to iMovie
• edit your movie
• publish
