HOW TO SHOOT A LAYUP

STEP ONE

• Get the ball and take a few dribbles.

STEP TWO

• Stop dribbling and take two steps.
• If you are shooting left handed step left foot then right foot.
• Right handed step with your right then left.

STEP 3

• When you are shooting aim for the top corner of the black square on the backboard
• You can shoot either an under hand or over hand layup

TIPS AND TRICKS

• When shooting, jump as high as you can.
• Shoot softly, it should be at the top of its arc when it hits the backboard
• Drive between elbow and block.
