How can you get your own radio show and what are the most important steps in doing so? When it comes to getting what you want, sometimes it's best to do it in steps and hear it from others that have already done it and are good at it.   • Syndicated can also can be limited
  • Must Adhere to station policies
  • Becoming outdated as technology progresses

  • Inexpensive
  • Unlimited reach
  • Say what you want
  • Simple to develop and build
  • Super Syndication Platforms iTunes / Stitcher etc.

HOw to start

  • Get a good Microphone
  • The quality of your recordings are important
  • Condensor Mic or a Dynamic - Blue Mics
  • Your phone can work too :)
  • Practice recording

Outline your show

  • Develop a topic
  • Expand your topic
  • Bulletize your topic by category
  • Write it out and practice.....
  • Practice, practice and practice some more...

pre recording versus live

  • Pre recording - you can modify or change content
  • Live - one shot one kill approach, fringe radio
  • Guests work on both types of Podcasting
  • With both live and pre recorded buzz can still be built
  • Just upload your "pre recorded" show at the time you said tune in.

  • Work Associates
  • At Chamber Mixers
  • Talk about those listening!!!

  • You are the BOSS (so hence the mustang :) )
  • Talk about what you want to
  • Talk as long as you want to
  • The more you do the better you will be
  • Listen to other shows to hear other artists

Syndication

  • Find a "HOST" that has a RSS feed
  • RSS = Really Simple Syndication
  • Stitcher and iTunes need a Feed to import from
  • Once you get approval, you will be syndicated
  • Meaning, your shows will be accessible my millions more

Ideas

  • Share your iTunes and or Stitcher channel
  • Have your friends tune in
  • If you use Blog Talk Radio, you can have guests call in
  • Consider live shows - even those shows are archived
  • Build a separate website around your podcast show!
