Instagram stories give a “humanizing” effect to your social media and business. It helps give you character in a unique way to stay front of mind.

Create an Instagram Story
Let’s create a new Instagram Story.
1. Go to Home screen and click on camera icon
To create an Instagram Story, go to the Home screen and click on the camera icon at the top left-hand corner of the screen.
2. Select the type of Story you wish to create
There are many types of Stories that you can create, like live video, still pictures, boomerang video, etc.
3. Save it to phone, publish Story, and/or send to contact
After creating the Story, you have the option to save it your phone, publish it your Story, and/or send it as a private message to a contact.
Delete an Instagram Story
If you have published a Story that you don’t like, you can delete it. Let’s learn how to delete a Story.
1. Go to Home screen and click on “You”
Go to your Home screen and click on “You” or you can go to your Profile screen and click on on your profile image near the top.
2. Select Story and click on “...”
Navigate to the Story you wish to delete and click on the “...” at the bottom right-hand corner.
3. Click on “Delete”
Simply click on Delete.
Adding a Story to Story Highlights
Story Highlights are Stories that don’t disappear from your Profile after 24 hours. Let’s learn how to create one.
1. Select Profile screen and click on “+”
You can Stories to Highlights by going to your Profile screen and click on the “+” below your picture.
2. Select Story and click “Next”
From there, select the Story you wish to add and select “Next”.
3. Add descriptor and click “Add”
Finally, add a short descriptor for the highlight and click “Add”.
