How to Write a Good Personal Statement

Characteristics of a Good Personal Statement:

• Thoughtful and honest          
• Appropriate writing
• demonstrates your knowledge of the major/college

Important
avoid repetition; the personal statement is supposed to mention details that aren't on another part of the application.

• 2-4 body paragraphs that develop the theme through examples and details
