DEFINITION OF HUMAN DIGNITY

  • CST states that each and every person has value, and is worthy of great respect and must be free from slavery, manipulation, and exploitation.

Human dignity in relation to being created in the image and likeness of God: "Every human being is created in the image of God and redeemed by Jesus Christ, and therefore is invaluable and worthy of respect as a member of the human family."

  • No one has the right to take away life except for God.
  • Everyone is a member of the human family.
  • Any attack or abuse on man is essentially an attack on God.

  • Shouldn't value anyone differently because of religious beliefs, race, gender, etc.
  • Everyone equally needs salvation and because of this gender, race, class, etc are all irrelevant to God.
