effects of ENVIRONMENTAL health on the body

  • Toxic substances/ gases result in rashes, headaches, nausea, and burns

Effects of nutrition on the body

  • Mostly affects bones, blood, and muscle
  • Absorption of calcium from intestines decreases during spacecraft

  • Low levels of Vitamin D
  • Composition of blood changes as blood plasma decreases

Solutions and equipment

  • How can we make it the safest environment for humans to work/ live?
  • A solution for cosmic rays and UV light:
  • Build objects that are not prone to radiation
  • Solution for loss of body weight:
  • Chefs should cook more foods with nutrients that will help for space travel
