HISTORY

  • Hungary was once part of the polyglot Austro-Hungarian Empire
  • During world war 1 this empire collapsed then during world war 2 it joined the axis power
  • In the years after the war it fell under communist rule
  • Hungary was one of the only countries to rebel against the Soviet Union
  • After the fall of communism Hungary was one of the first countries to become free
