Main Characters

• Katniss- Her role is to take care of her sister and to get food
• Peeta- He helps his dad with his bakery and he does most of the chores
• Prim- She is Katniss's sister and she gets picked to battle but then Katniss volunteers
• Haymitch- He is Katniss's counselor for the Hunger Games he tells her all she should know to be ready
• Gale- He is Katniss's friend and they both go hunting together a lot

This book is about a battle that people fight for there life. There are 12 districts and one boy and one girl are picked to go into the battle every year. The person who wins the battle stays alive and the 23 people who lose die. The reason why they have this battle is because there was a rebellion on the capitol and the capitol didn't like that so they have this battle as a punishment.

This book takes place in an arena that the capitol creates. They keep creating it and putting obstacles in it during the games. This arena is for the battle not for the whole disctrict.

I picked this book because this book made me just keep reading. With most of my books that I read I just stop because I get bored or it is just not a good book. But this one really caught my eyes and I just wanted to keep reading and just find out what happened at the end very fast.
