PBL: This student is using real manipulatives to help write a "how to" make hamburgers. .
Inquiry Learning
- This type of learning is a great way to motivate and take ownership of their learning.
- The teacher uses the student's interests in order to build a lesson.
Inquiry Learning - These students have taken an interest in firemen. The teacher then used emergency services to teach them about what firemen do in these situations.
Socratic Dialogue
- The teacher guides discussions posing open-ended questions that force the students to think at a deeper level.
Socratic dialogue - This teacher is using open ended questions to guide a small group discussion. The role of the teacher is to guide the discussion in order to dive deeper into the question at hand.
