WHAT IS THE DISORDER

• Huntingtons disease is a hereditary disease.
• It is marked by degeneration of the brain cells.
• It causes chorea.
• It causes progressive dementia.

HOW THE DISORDER IS PASSED DOWN?

• It's passed down from a parent to a child through a mutation or misspelling In the normal gene.
• It is on he fourth chromozone. (Autosomal)

WHO DOES IT AFFECT?

• Huntington's disease affects childeren.
• If your parent has it they are going to pass it down to you
• The symptoms come at a young age.

WHAT ARE THR SYMPTOMS?

• Muscle ridgity
• Difficulty swallowing
• Difficulty in learning new things
• Change in appetite
• Social withdrawal. (Many more)

TREATMENTS

• There is no cure
• Medication can help some symptoms
• A special diet may help with swallowing problems
