It started off as a tropical depression, that quickly escalated into a storm

Katrina was a level 5 hurricane, which is the most extreme it can get. It destroyed multiple parts of the united states area.
The land it hit was fine, until the hurricane hit. In the end, it ended up basically covering the areas in water, creating a flood.
Katrina didn't cause any dorms or disasters afterwards, but did did the damage of multiple storms.

Many people, plants, and animals lived in the area before it hit. A lot of them either died, went missing, or were injured.
Many non-living like signs, houses, cars, and more were destroyed during the hurricane.
I think this event changed the biodiversity a little bit. It wiped out many different large numbers of animals, and destroyed habitats for some.
People consider Katrina the worst hurricane to hit in a long time.
