  • The clouds are pink red and gold.
  • The outside of it is thick.
  • The sky is bright but the clouds are dark.
  • Light clouds dissolve.
  • The eye of the hurricane is watery.
  • The waves get stronger.
  • The hole is black.
  • You can only view them from outer space.

WHAT CAUSES HURRICANES?

  • Warm and cold wind collide until it gets fast.
  • There are winds of 175 per hour.
  • Becomes hurricane at speed of 74 miles per hour.
  • The wind swirls around earth.

HOW DO HURRICANES AFFECT PEOPLE?

  • Houses and stores wash away and food is hard to get.
  • Waves grow high and people drown.
  • Waves make floods.
  • Money loss.
  • Makes land smaller.
  • People loose homes.

HOW DO PEOPLE PROTECT THEIRSELVES?

  • Evacuate
  • Hide in underground shelter.
  • Warnings are sent.
  • Move to high ground.
  • When people are in buildings when hurricane strikes they drop to the ground and hide under tables.
