Hydropower
Hydropower is something that uses water to produce electricity. This process does not pollute the water. I think this is a more clinical (clean & safe) process than others such as nuclear.

Nuclear power

#1 Nuclear power is harmful to the environment and air because it gives off radioactive fumes.
#2 This method is hard labor but is effective.

Pros
#1 Hydropower is good because it does not pollute the water.
#2 After building the dams it is inexpensive to operate and generate the electricity.
#3 There are many rivers around the world therefore giving lots of opportunities to build.

Cons
#1 The hydropower dams could be built around fish spawning grounds.
#2 The dam itself is expensive to build.
#3 There is a chance of flooding if damaged and not properly maintained.

Hydro history
Lester Allan Pelton is also known as a (father of hydropower).
He was born September 5 1829 and died March 14 1908 he spent most of his live as an inventor. Lester also received an Elliot Cresson Medal in 1895 from the Franklin institute.
