Alliteration is the repetition of initial consonant sounds in two or more neighboring words or syllables. Cathy sips coca-cola creme soda.
A metaphor is a comparison of two or more unlike things without using the words "like" or "as".You're a turtle.
A Idiom is a phrase or expression which means something different from what the words actually say. That test was a piece of cake.
Personification is a giving a non-human thing (plants,animals,objects,etc.)human traits (qualities,feelings,ideas, and/or characteristics.)when I washed the dishes my sponge started to talk to me, it was sponge bob!
A simile is a comparison of two or more unlike things using the words "like" or "as". He's as fat as a hippo!
Onomatopoeia is the use of words that sound like the noise they name or words that imitate sounds. Buzz,snap,pop!
