Few things about hypertrichosis. Hypertrichosis is an abnormal amount of hair growth over the body. Hypertrichosis is transmitted either at birth or through medicine. There are 2 classifications. Generalized is all over the body and localized is in a specified location.

Biology side of hypertrichosis. There are 2 subclasses. Congenital hypertrichosis is caused by mutation in genes, which is very rare compared to acquired form. Congenital hypertrichosis is present at birth. Acquired is rapid excessive hair growth sometimes caused by medicine or cancer. There is no known cure.

Medical side of hypertrichosis. Hypertrischosis is often associated with cancer. This condition is also linked to metabolic disorders, such as anorexia, hormone imbalances, such as hyperthyroidism, or as a side effect of certain drugs.

Folklore side of hypertrichosis.
The first documented case of hypertrichosis was in the mid 1600's. Many people with hypertrichosis pursue careers in the circus. The disease makes you look like a werewolf but doesn't distort the way you act.
