Malala was 12 years old and lived in Swat Valley, Pakistan.
Malalas Dad is a teacher and also believes that all children should get education.
At 12 years old, Malala started a blog about how she wants education for girls.
Malalas life was super stressful. She would go to bed scared that the Taliban would come and kill her dad.
Malala kept going to school because she didn't give up on her beliefs.
Malala kept blogging about how she wanted education for girls.
Malala was on a school bus on the way home from school and was shot because she wanted education for girls.
Two Taliban men approached the bus and asked which one was Malala. She stayed silent. Then shot her after they knew which girl was Malala.
Malala and two of her friends were hurt when the Taliban shot Malala.
Malala moved to England after the shooting. She wrote a book about education for girls.
Malala travels the world and speaks about education for girls. She spoke out and against Boko Haram.
Malala won the Noble peace prize this year(2014). She was the youngest to ever win it.
