Argued 10/19/71 Decided 11/22/71
conflict over the estate of their dead son, who had left his estate to his mother.
father was given the property, both filed petitions with probate court in Idaho
customary to rule in the favor of the men rather than the women.
Based on the 14th amendment, the Supreme Court also declared Idaho's law unconstitutional.

Texas made abortion illegal unless it threatened the woman's life.
Court decided that woman's right of abortion fell under a woman's rights of privacy
Changed the laws of 46 states & stated that women were legally allowed abortions in the 1st trimester

Argued 10/5/76. Decided by burger court 1975-81 Decided by sate court 12/20/76
violated equal protection clause of 14 amendment.
Craig challenged as discriminatory.
Females could get drunk & raped easy by no intoxicated males.

law enforcement agents used thermal imaging to detect hot spots outside of Kyollo's apartment
they detected the hot spots & got a warrant to search the apartment where they found Kyollo growing marijuana
SCOTUS ruled 5-4 in favor of Kyollo that the use of thermal imaging constituted an illegal search.

Gov used device not in general public use, to explore home that would've been unknown w/o physical intrusion
