Slide Notes

Hello Friends,
I'm Connor, a 15 year old at Homestead High School…you know the school the Steve's (Jobs & Wozniak) graduated from.
I'm tackling a new adventure. Since I took a break from volleyball and spent a little too much time on video games my mom gave me an ultimatum…pick an after school commitment, be it sports, music, dance, drama, electronics….or I will pick one for you.
I tried cross country but hurt all over and spent more time in the trainer's room than on the road.
A friend told me about rowing so guess what, I tried it & loved it. I am excited to share my enthusiasm with you.
Being out on the water with my team is very different from all the other sports I have done.
My novice team has competed in 2 California regattas so far, placing 26th the first time out then 7th overall.
We are getting really good!
The fun begins in the spring when we travel and race often. For now it's mostly conditioning, ERG workouts and time on the water.
Please come out and watch my team race. The regattas are full of people and food and tons of college rowing teams. It's a really big deal!
Anyway, part of my commitment includes raising funds for those in need & for repairing/replacing equipment. Please help me reach my contribution goal…ONLY $550.
Muchas gracias,
Connor
