SLIDING FRICTION

  • The bases sliding when a player goes into a base
  • A catcher sliding over to get a ball
  • This effects motion by slowing the player down when getting to the ball o the base

ROLLING FRICTION

  • The ball rolling around the feild
  • A person rolling into a base
  • This impacts motion because its slows it down

FLUID FRICTION

  • When the ball is pitched
  • When the ball is thrown
  • When the ball is hit
  • This affects motion so the ball doesnt go really fast in the air

BALANCED FORCE

  • A balanced force is when a player is on a base
  • I know this because there is no motion

UNBALANCED FORCE

  • An unbalanced force is when a ball is being hit
  • I know this because you have to overcome the power of the ball to change its motion

INERTIA

  • Inertia is when the ball is being hit
  • I know this because the ball is resisting change when you try to hit it

57 ◻️ 61

  • The ball is coming in at 57 newtons
  • The batter hits it with 61 newtons
  • The net force is 4
