PRESENTATION OUTLINE

UKRAINE

THE CRISIS ENVELOPED THERE

A conflict started in Ukraine sometime in April. Pro-Russian Ukrainian Rebels have attacked Donetsk and Luhansk, provinces in eastern Ukraine. The Ukrainian government claims 4,000 have been killed, 951 of those were civilians, and 5,000 more have been injured. (Peter)

The Rebels wish to break away from Ukraine and become a more Russian influenced country called the "Donetsk's People's Republic"(BBC News). Russia seems to support the Rebels ideals and supply them with weapons and men (Twafik).

The Ukrainian government wants the Rebels to stay unified with them, and are upset with Russia, as they took Crimea with the use of their military and a local election decided to break away from Ukraine (BBC News).

  • Prove something to Ukraine and/or other countries

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

  • The Ukrainian Government negotiates peace with the Rebels.
  • The Ukrainian Government compromises with Russia.
