Let's start with an Iamb...

An Iamb is a foot of poetry

It consists of one short syllable

and one long syllable

Well, "Tetra" means four

And "Penta" means five

So a tetrameter has four iambic feet

And a pentameter has five iambic feet

Example: Iambic Tetramter

So why isn't this Iambic Pentameter?
