WELCOME TO

CHAGATAY (1333)

Oh, my Morocco fellows... the travels in The Land of Chagatay has been alright. A cold winter, I stayed for 54 days, residing with the Khan. Nothing much was to see, but there were many marketplaces in town. Afterwards, I left for various areas in India with money, camels, and warm clothing that I was provided with. I learned that after my leave the Khan had been overthrown. What a terrible tragedy.

WELCOME TO

HAJJ (1326)

Oh, my Morocco fellows,
My trip to the holy Hajj in Mecca went well. I traveled along with a thousand others in a caravan about 820 miles from Damascus. I spent about 45 to 60 days. Every traveler had to have their own animal and money to survive. Our caravan was protected by the Mamluk army. We arrived in Medina with no trouble and camped outside city walls of

the holy mosque of prophet. I dressed in simple white ihram cloth in Mecca. I also performed prayer of two bowlings at maqam ibrhim and clung the curtains of Ka'ba to have prayers answered. Then i did the Standing at Arafat which is a essential part of the Hajj.
