ICT:CREATE YOUR OWN GAME

By:Hye Won Lee, 6A

SCREENSHOTS

  • I chose the blocks that made the animals move, talk, run into each other and also play a sound when they hit each other. Also I used blocks to make them score points. In the very last part, I set the characters, the background, what they say, the directions that they are going, and whether they score a point or not as well to make my own game.

What did i learn from this puzzle

  • I learned that there are more things existing in the games that we play after making this game. There are blocks that make characters speak and move and score points etc. And it'll take a lot more effort and time to make a proper game for us to play for the programmers to make one because this isn't quite a complete version that we can play on the computer or on the iPad.

What programming techniques were used

  • The programming techniques taht are used are dragging and clicking to make the computer follow your instructions.

3 Subject links that are used

  • Computational programming-Using hardware and software to make the computer do what you want is computational programming.
  • Imagination-To create my own game for the last part, I used all my thoughts and imaginations to make my game as creative as possible.
  • Math-to know the distances(pixels) for how much you should move your character and to put the blocks in the right order, you need a good mathematical skill.
