One of woman’s greatest contributions to human history is their contribution in rasing families which is indirectly growing. states,nations and society.If women
are so important to society shouldn’t they have control of key decisions that affect them and their health?
Switzerland has made great progress when it come s to woman’s rights including their reproductive rights.According to a 2019 report by the OECD(organization for economic co operation and development )
According to the center for reproductive rights Switzerland gives power to women to decide wether and when to have a child, various methods to avoid having a baby are easily available.If a women becomes pregnant and cannot have a baby due to medics or other grounds she can terminate the pregnancy on request within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy
All children and youth are entitled to sex education.This is supported by the Swiss Federal Govt and this curriculum is delivered in schools
The Swiss govt has supportive polices that further support reproductive rights.Pregnant woman were legally entitled to paid maternity leave in 2005.Nowadays women are entitled to 14 weeks paid maternity leave .However this is still lower than some other European countries
In summery Switzerland should do more as it is a developed country and a role model to others
While some of the greatest mothers have made great contributions to history a women does not necessarily need to be a mother to contribute to society there(we have)Hillary Clinton and Indra Gandhi who were mothers but there(we have) Mother Tressa who hade no children of her own.It should always be the woman’s choice
