  • to paint in your head.
  • Like, if I said "The brown bear..."

  • The author uses different strategies for imagery.
  • There are seven different types of imagery.
  • Visual, Auditory, Olfactory, Gustatory, Tactile,
  • Kinesthetic, and Organic.

THESE REFER TO THE SENSES.

  • Those being seeing, hearing, tasting,
  • Touching, and smelling.
  • Kinesthetic pertains to movement and actions.
  • Organic relates to feelings, like hunger and thirst.
