Adventurer - Coureur de Bois

Imagine

You are 16 years old who can't read or write and who has no skills.

You are hired as a servant to Samuel de Champlain

and will now leave your home to journey to the New World

Only 50 French had survived their year in Quebec.

Brûlé was one of the few to survive the next two winters.

Brûlé quickly learned the First Nation ways.

He went to live with them to master their language.
