You go to the movies and get sneezed on by a guy with the flu

The flu virus went into my nose where the antigens try to pass and the first line of defense which is the mucus try to fight the virus. The mucus makes the particles get stuck.

Unfortunately the mucus only delays the virus and the virus heads toward my lungs where the cilia tries to fight off the virus by making me cough.

Now the virus has gotten inside my body cells and is thousands of viruses. This is when the second line of defense happens.

The white blood cells or macrophage are part of the second line of defense. Their job is to kill the bacteria by eating the cell debris.

The WBC have done their job and the killer T cells begin theirs. The killer T cells are supposed to fight of the infected cells.

I'm becoming sicker by the minute and my fever starts. Even though I don't like having a fever, it's actually helping me because it's killing all the bacteria caused by the virus.

My stomach begins to hurt and that means the virus has gotten to where the third line of defense begins.

The antibodies are part of the third line of defense and they begin the healing process of sickness. The antigens are attached to the antibodies.

This is where the helper T cells come in and their job is to find all the remaining particles that the WBC didn't destroy and then pick out all the B cells.

The B cells are the cells that remember the virus so if you get it again, then they can tell the T cells and the T cells will fight of the virus quicker.

I am feeling better after about a week and I just had to let the virus run it's course. I have all my energy back and I am healthy again.
