IMPETIGO

Impetigo

  • Most commonly found in children and babies.
  • Highly contagious.
  • Causes blisters and sores found on the neck, hand, and diaper area.
  • Superficial skin infection
  • Caused two bacterium.

BACTERIUM

  • Staphylococcus aureus
  • Streptococcus pyogenes
  • Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aurues
  • (MRSA)

TYPES

  • Good hygiene prevents the possibility of impetigo.
  • bullous impetigo (large blisters) .
  • non-bullous impetigo (crusted) impetigo
  • antibiotic ointment
  • antibiotic pill or liquid, which is generally taken for 7-10 days
