  • The mountains cover areas in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela
  • At least 20 million people depend on the the mountains' resources and the ecosystem services

2. GDP

  • With many agricultural areas, the produce and trade bring a lot of money
  • This helps the economy and keeps it running

Natural Disasters

These natural disasters are happening because the Andes mountains are on the " Ring of Fire". This causes many natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and even tsunamis at times.

REFLECTION

  • We think that the the Andes mountains is one of the most important landmarks in South America. It provides many resources to help the economy like mineral resources, fertile land and hydroelectricity.
