Since flat lands were rare in the Andes Mountains, the Inca created steps to grow their crops on. Their three main crops were corn, potatoes, and quinoa. Quinoa seeds were used to make cereal, flour, and soups. They also planted and grew tomatoes, avocados, peppers, strawberries, peanuts, squash, sweet potatoes, beans, bananas, spices, and coco leaves to make chocolate. They also made buildings specially built to store food, because they always had a surplus of crops. The Inca were skilled farmers, and the solutions that they had were very clever.
