ROYAL BENGAL TIGER🐅

  • Tigers are now an endangered species
  • It's quite different to New Zealands identity
  • The Royal Bengal Tiger are the most numerous subspecies of tigers
  • The Royal Bengal Tiger is estimated at 1,706–1,909 in India

KIWI

  • The kiwi's blood temperature is 38 degrees celsius, two lower than a regular bird!
  • Some similarities:
  • Neither of these animals can fly, the kiwi can't fly, it's bones are filled
  • Fact:
  • We were first called 'Kiwi's' in WW1 by Australian comrades!

RICKSHAWS & CARS

  • In India rickshaws are driven as well as cars
  • Rickshaws are even more common in rural areas
  • Vehicles owned per 1000 people: 41

DHOTI'S & SARI'S

  • Worn by women, a sari is a strip of unstitched cotton or silk
  • In urban areas, business shirts are common

WESTERN CLOTHING

  • Skirts, shirts and trousers are worn more commonly here
  • Casual clothes are worn mostly but also business clothes are worn alot

SCHOOL

  • In NZ it is compulsory that you go to school from age 5-16
  • In NZ it is also free to go to school
  • In India school is free for 6-14 year olds
  • The government has banned child labour in India to keep them in school
